Why Surgery is Necessary? : Surgery is often the most effective "radical cure" for localized solid tumors. Surgery can, diagnose (biopsy), prevent or treat cancer by removing the entire tumor and surrounding tissue.

सर्जरी क्यों जरूरी है ? : सर्जरी कैंसर की रोकथाम, निदान (बायोप्सी) और उपचार के लिए सबसे प्रभावी तरीका है। यह ट्यूमर को शरीर से पूरी तरह निकालने में मदद करती है ।
आधुनिक मिनिमली इनवेसिव सर्जरी (कम चीर-फाड़ वाली सर्जरी ): सर्जरी में केवल छोटे चीरे (1-2 सेमी) लगाए जाते हैं, जिससे दर्द कम होता है और मरीज जल्दी घर जा सकता है ।
हमारे द्वारा की जाने वाली आम सर्जरी (प्रमुख कैंसर सर्जरी): पेट के कैंसर, जैसे कोलन, मलाशय, पित्ताशय, अग्नाशय, ग्रासनली और पेट के कैंसर की सर्जरी अधिक बार की जाती है। स्तन कैंसर, त्वचा और अंगों के कैंसर के लिए भी ऑपरेशन किए जाते हैं।
आम भ्रम और सच्चाई :- चाकू लगने से कैंसर फैलता है : यह एक गलत धारणा है। सर्जरी कैंसर को फैलने से रोकने का सबसे सुरक्षित तरीका है । डर के मारे इसमें देरी करना, खुद इस प्रक्रिया से कहीं ज़्यादा खतरनाक है।
