Clinical consultation is done for discussion of the problem, clinical evaluation and preoperative workup. The patients are evaluated and investigations required are sent.
Diagnostic tests: Biochemical investigations, serological tests, diagnostic procedures and minor procedures, FNAC, biopsy etc as required are done with prior discussions. Histopathological studies are are frequently requested on the excised tissues.
Other diagnostic tests like Rigid sigmoidoscopy, Cystoscopy, Core needle biopsy, Punch biopsy, FNAC, Incisional biopsy, Excisional biopsy, Liver biopsy, Peritoneal biopsy, Peritoneal fluid aspiration, Pleural fluid aspiration, USG guided biopsy, smear cytology etc may be required for the diagnosis & management of patients.
Outpatient Surgery: In outpatient surgery the patient usually has minor surgical ailment for which the patient is worked up in the OPD and operated under local/regional anaesthesia, and sent back home immediately or within half an hour. We perform nail excisions, skin biopsy, lipoma excisions, incision & drainage for abscess, tumor biopsy, core needle biopsy, trucut biopsy, ureteric stent removal, cystoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, mole excision, wart excision/ cauterization, ear lobule repair, lateral sphincterotomy for anal fissures, barron band ligation for hemorrhoids [piles], breast fibroadenoma excision, breast lump excision, inverted nipple surgery etc as outpatient surgery.
Day Care Surgery: Same day surgery - A patient recovers from surgery and is fit to return home within a day (24 hrs.) A number of operations are managed as Day Care Surgery, offering patients an early return to normal daily activities.
Major Surgical Operations under Spinal or General Anesthesia [Elective or Emergency surgery] : A wide range of major operations mainly general surgery, laparoscopic surgery, cancer surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, breast surgery, gynecological operations, thyroid surgery, genitourinary surgery are performed.
After initial evaluation and workup, patients may be hospitalized for operative and non operative management, intensive surgical care and postoperative care.
